MEET CIC PHOTONICS’ JORGE E. PEREZ, MSEE

Jorge is CICP’s innovator of high performance software programs for electronic specialty gas analyses for the semiconductor, solar photovoltaic, chemical, and environmental applications.  He is the author of our copyrighted SPGAS and ARIA programs and of the patented SpectraStream module, the latter for early-warning and fast-tracking of instantaneous changes in concentrations of critical gas species in a gas stream.  Having been engaged by CICP in 1997 when he was still a graduate student at the University of New Mexico, Jorge has advanced to become the Vice President for Research and Development.  In that period of time, he has trained himself in FTIR spectroscopy, chemical analysis, optical ray tracing, matrix mathematics, and multivariant CLS techniques.  With coauthors from CICP, he has published and presented several technical papers on high sensitivity gas analyses and on nonlinear gas calibration techniques.  His latest innovation of the ARIA program will be a major contribution to both laboratory and industrial collection of gas analysis data that will impact positively major industries such as specialty gas producers, semiconductor and photovoltaic manufacturers, petroleum and petrochemicals, combustion, and alternative energy producers.
