We offer a selection of stainless steel gas analysis cells. While they are all capable of analyzing the same gases in similar conditions, the concentrations detected, the volumes contained, and energy pathlength differ. To evaluate which cell is the best solution for your need, review the tables at the bottom of this page. Links to each cell are to the left of this paragraph.
Lower Lifecycle Cost - lower cell refurbishment cost, faster ROI, less process downtime
Our cells are designed to withstand or reduce the destructive effects of most corrosive gases due to the construction material of 316 Stainless Steel and nickel coating. Our mirrors are also constructed of 304 Stainless Steel and coated with proprietary strata that bond the reflective coating and protect the mirrors from chemical attack. Eventually evern the most resistant material
will be destroyed by corrosive material. Our cells resist this destruction for significant time periods, and especially longer when the cells and the environment are regularly purged. Even so, our retrofit costs are cost effective when your cell eventually needs attention. Your total lifecycle cost is less than you might imagine, and may be even further reduced if your analytical species are non-corrosive. Our cells are built to be used for analyzing gases day after day and earning their keep.
You will appreciate that your cell, whether it is one of our standard cells below, or a custom designed cell, will be reliable with proper maintenance and handling. Your downtime due to parts replacement or re-coating surfaces will be minimized by design. Internal adjustments will be necessary only to reconfigure a cell or replace a few consumable parts. These adjustments take a minimum
of time to complete, making your cell useful within a short while.
Better Sensitivity - higher energy throughput provides better data from a higher signal to noise ratio
Our mirrors provide 98.5% reflectivity, thus empowering the gas cell with extraordinary optical power throughput. Regardless of your IR source, your energy throughput will be maximized due to the special proprietary strata we have developed. Once adjusted for optical maximums based on your requirements, you will have throughputs you can rely on for clear, consistent, accurate readings on whatever
species you sample.
CIC Photonics has designed its cells for compatibility with FTIR spectrometers to allow a customer to attach our cell to the spectrometer of choice. We have optical couplers that enable our cells to readily mount onto spectrometers.
CIC Photonics uses its expertise and standard cells to develop and design custom cells when desired by a customer, or when an application requires either modification or new innovation for reliable solutions. Often our custom design experience has encountered similar needs for unique applications and we are able to quickly respond and create the solution you need.
Since 1994 we are proud to be the solutions provider when no alternative solution has exactly met a customer's needs.
